Wildiley Barroca Appointed Resident Diplomat of the World Diplomatic Organization for the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe

São Tomé and Príncipe, August 2026 – International lawyer, African leader, and international development advocate Wildiley Barroca has been officially appointed as Resident Diplomat of the World Diplomatic Organization (WDO)for the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.

The appointment, conferred by the Headquarters of the World Diplomatic Organization in London, marks another significant milestone in Barroca’s distinguished career in international diplomacy, governance, youth leadership, and sustainable development. It also reflects the confidence placed in his leadership and longstanding commitment to fostering international cooperation and strengthening partnerships that contribute to peace, development, and global understanding.

As Resident Diplomat, Wildiley Barroca will serve as the official representative of the World Diplomatic Organization in São Tomé and Príncipe, promoting the organization’s mission while strengthening collaboration with government institutions, diplomatic missions, international organizations, development agencies, the private sector, academia, and civil society.

His responsibilities will include facilitating diplomatic dialogue, promoting international cooperation, supporting initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging strategic partnerships, and contributing to programmes that advance sustainable economic growth, social inclusion, institutional capacity building, and peace.
